Everette is the founding principal of Orr Financial Planning, LLC, an independent and fee-only financial planning and investment advisory firm.
As a recognized expert in financial planning, he has been quoted in such publications as Reader’s Digest, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, U.S. News and World Report, the Washington Post, and Money magazine. And Washingtonian magazine has recognized Everette as one of the best financial advisors in the Washington, D.C. area.
Everette holds CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst™ (CFA®) professional certifications.
He also meets all the requirements for experience, peer review, continuing education, licenses, and fee-only services of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and he currently serves as a Board Member in the NAPFA Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Study Group.
He has a BS in Political Science from Virginia Tech, a BA in Accounting from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, and a MA in International Relations from the University of Arkansas.
After a distinguished career in finance, Everette retired in 1999 from the Senior Foreign Service where he had served with the Agency for International Development as the head of audit for the U.S. foreign aid program.
Following his retirement, he worked for a nationally respected financial planning firm where he offered comprehensive fee-only financial planning and investment management services to wealthy clients.
In 2003, he started his own firm to offer the same professional, independent, and fee-only financial planning and investment management services to the middle-market.
